Terms and conditions applied to all participants upon purchase of subscription, service or products listed on this web site:
The requested annual contribution is based on the school’s previous year enrollment. For elementary and early childhood schools the requested amount is $7.50 per student. The amounts for high schools are $4.00 per student. Contributions are voluntary, but are required to qualify for reduced pricing on other services and subscriptions. All contributions are non-refundable.
Receiving the Discount
Upon making your school’s contribution to help support the work of the Commission on Lutheran Schools, you will receive an email qualifying your school for discounts on services, subscriptions, and events. The discount is to be used exclusively for your school and is not transferable. The discount is valid for one year and can be renewed upon receipt of your school’s contribution the following year.
Subscriptions to Curriculum Mapper, PowerSchool, and DE Streaming are good for one year and are activated on August 1 and expire October 1. To avoid a lapse of service, subscriptions must be renewed before October 1 of each year. The Commission on Lutheran Schools is an authorized reseller for each of these products only for schools of the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod. All subscriptions are non-transferable and non-refundable. The use of Curriculum Mapper, PowerSchool, and DE Streaming is limited to the terms and conditions established by the parent company of each of these products and violations are fully punishable under United States copyright law.
Training is a prerequisite requirement for subscribing to Curriculum Mapper and PowerSchool. For Curriculum Mapper, training can be arranged throughout the year and groups of schools can work together cooperatively to share costs. PowerSchool training is held annually in June at a location to be determined each year. Additional training may be available directly from the parent companies of products resold by the Commission on Lutheran Schools. Schools are free to enroll in such additional training programs at their own cost.
Complementary Parents Crosslink Electronic Subscription
Contributing schools are automatically subscribed to a one-year electronic subscription to Parents Crosslink, a wonderful newsletter resource for supporting parents and Christian homes. The subscription includes four quarterly issues beginning with the fall issue. Each issue will be sent via email in PDF format for either hard copy or electronic distribution to school and congregation families. The PCL newsletter will be sent to the email address used to complete the online CLS Support Contribution.
Training Events and Conferences
Registration fees for training events and conferences may be refundable depending on the terms and conditions established by the steering committee for each event. In most instances, requests for refunds will be determined on a case by case basis. Registrants are encouraged to present refund requests in writing with a complete explanation of the circumstances leading to the request. Registration fees may be transferable to another educator from the same congregation depending on the terms and conditions established for each event.
Marketing themes of the Commission on Lutheran Schools are registered trademarks reserved for the exclusive use of WELS schools without modification. Schools are prohibited from using any Commission on Lutheran Schools marketing themes or slogans under any graphic design other than a design originated from the Commission on Lutheran Schools.
