Make your Supplemental Contribution.Curriculum MapperCurriculum mapping is the process of taking what is actually taught in a classroom and journaling it in an organized manner. The journals (maps) focus on the content, skills and assessments that are being used in a given classroom. When these maps are used by the faculty in small and large groups, the conversations are rich and the benefits to the school are great! DE StreamingThe Commission on Lutheran Schools has also partnered with Discovery Education to provide low cost access to DE Streaming, a digital video-on-demand and online teaching service. DE Streaming helps teachers enrich lessons, increase attention levels, and heighten achievement. NOTE: Schools in Texas and Michigan will need to contact their school district to subscribe through the state-contracted Discovery Education representative. We are not authorized to accept subscriptions from Texas or Michigan. PowerSchoolThe Commission on Lutheran Schools has partnered with Pearson Education School Systems to provide WELS schools access to PowerSchool, an innovative student information system. PowerSchool starts with the student in the center and is designed to ensure administrators, teachers, students, and parents get real-time, web-based access to the student information they need to work as a team and help every child succeed. WELSSAIn 2003, the Commission on Lutheran Schools resolved to establish a school accreditation process as a means of improving the educational quality and effectiveness of Lutheran schools and their ministry. WELS School Accreditation (WELSSA) is the very tool that has been developed to assist schools with the evaluating process based on Scripture and on sound educational principles.
